The Linux bind command is used to display or set the keyboard keys and their related functions.

You can use the bind command to understand which key combinations and their functions exist, and you can also specify which key combinations you want to use.

Syntax

bind [-dlv][-f <key configuration file>][-m <key configuration>][-q <function>]

Parameter description:

  • -d Display the content of the key configuration.
  • -f<key configuration file> Load the specified key configuration file.
  • -l List all the functions.
  • -m<key configuration> Specify the key configuration.
  • -q<function> Display the key for the specified function.
  • -v List the current key configurations and their functions.
