How to use Java RegEx to match a specific string/End of line

The metacharacter "$" matches the end of a specific string, that is, it matches the last character of the string. For example,

• Expression " \\ d $ "with strings ending with numbers"/line match.

• Expression " [az] $ "Match strings ending with lowercase letters"/line.
