Elasticsearch Canvas

Canvas application is part of Kibana, which enables us to create dynamic, multi-page, and pixel-perfect data displays. It has the ability to create charts, not just charts and indicators, making it unique and attractive. In this chapter, we will see various features of Canvas and how to use the Canvas workspace.

Open Canvas

Go to the Kibana homepage and then select the options as shown in the figure below. It will open a list of canvas workspaces you own. We choose e-commerce revenue tracking for research.

Clone Workspace

We cloned[eCommerce] Revenue Trackingto be used in our research. To clone it, we highlight the row with this workspace name and then use the clone button, as shown in the following figure:

Due to the above cloning, we will get a new workspace named[eCommerce] Revenue Tracking – CopyThe following information charts will be displayed when the workspace is opened.

It describes the total sales and income by category with exquisite pictures and charts.

Modify Workspace

We can use the available options on the right tab to change the style and graphics in the workspace. Here, we aim to change the background color of the workspace by selecting different colors, as shown in the following figure. The color selection takes effect immediately, and we get the following results-
