The regional mapping displays indicators on the geographic mapping. It is very useful when viewing data anchored to different geographic regions at different intensities. Deeper shadows usually indicate higher values, while lighter shadows usually indicate lower values.
The detailed steps to create this visualization are as follows.-
At this step, we go to the visual button in the left sidebar of the Kibana main screen, and then select the option to add a new visualization.
The following screen shows how we select the Region Map option.
The next screen prompts us to select the metric to be used to create the 'Regional Mapping'. Here, we choose 'Average Price' as the index and select 'country_iso_code' as the field in the bucket that will be used to create the visual file.
Once the application is selected, the final result below will display 'Regional Mapping'. Please note the color shades and their values mentioned in the tags.
