Elasticsearch Kibana Dashboard

The Kibana dashboard is a collection of visualization and search tools. You can arrange, adjust, and edit the dashboard content, and then save the dashboard for sharing. In this chapter, we will learn how to create and edit dashboards.

Dashboard creation

In the 'Kibana homepage', select the Dashboard option from the left control panel, as shown below. This will prompt you to create a new dashboard.

To add a visualization to the dashboard, we select the 'Add' menu and then choose from the available pre-built visualizations. We selected the following visualization options from the list.

After selecting the above visualization, we will get the dashboard as shown below. We can add and edit the dashboard later to change elements and add new elements.

Check Element

We can check the dashboard elements by selecting the visualization panel menu and choosing.Inspect. This will display the data behind the elements, which can also be downloaded.

Share Dashboard

We can share the dashboard by selecting the share menu and choosing an option to get a hyperlink, as shown below:
